2012/2013 uganda martyrs university fees structure By virtue of its status as a Campus of UMU, Nile University Campus of Uganda Martyrs University (NIUCUMU) legally becomes part of Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) under whose guidance it will operate in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two Institutions and the Universities and Tertiary Institutions Act of 6th April, 2001.  The choice to affiliate and accredit Nile University to Uganda Martyrs University is purposefully done based on the conviction that Uganda Martyrs University’s credibility and experience in University affairs coupled with its capacity to mentor could be used to give sense of direction to Nile University as it is required by the National Council for Higher Education in Uganda. This affiliation and accreditation is also of great importance for Nile University because of the challenges it faced within the past years of its struggle to established itself, achieve its vision, Mission, objectives and to be on its feet.  The affiliation and accreditation will enable Nile University Campus to build capacity especially in the field of teaching, credibility, develop its academic programmes, prepare students to sit for the Degree programmes of Uganda Martyrs University and enable Nile University Campus to carry out research and eventually attain its full autonomy as an Independent University.2012/2013 uganda martyrs university fees structure This relationship will also help many students to join both undergraduate and postgraduate Programmes offered by Uganda Martyrs University in Nile University Campus.  Nile University Campus will also implement the academic policies, rules, and regulations of Uganda Martyrs University strictly as agreed by the two Universities in order to maintain high level of education quality, integrity and the credibility of the two Institutions. The differences in the two Institutions is in the area of Organizational Administrative Structure where Nile University has its own independently Board of Trustees, University Council and independently employed Administrative, Academic, and Support staff who are entirely of Nile University Campus but collaborate with Uganda Martyrs University. Notwithstanding the above legal status, for practical purposes, NIUCUMU will manage its own affairs provided that the decisions and operations of the Campus do not compromise its status as a Campus of Uganda Martyrs University.  2012/2013 uganda martyrs university fees structureBoth parties realize that they cannot fully develop without adequate stakeholder mapping, networking and support. In this regard, each Institution commits itself to carry out promotion of each other’s activities in forums where it is best placed.
