Development is aimed at expanding people’s choices and enabling people to live lives that are more fulfilling. That is why the various foundational modules of the programmes emphasize the idea that people are at the centre of all development. The foundational modules (1-6) concentrate on growth at all levels: individual, community, societal, cultural, and economic, and emphasise the fact that sustainable, holistic development promotes growth for all members of society. The domain areas of these programmes (modules 7-10) focus on the process of change in Africa (both structural and institutional) in development, education, management, and microfinance, while at the same time, keeping an eye on global and international developments. At the end of the course, you will graduate with one of the following degrees: Development Studies, Development and Education, Development and Microfinance Development and NGO Management
